What music did you listen to as a child?

As a child, I listened mostly to rock and country music, along with progressive rock.

Over time, my taste slowly evolved and I was gradually introduced to deeper electronic sounds, which later led me toward deep house and progressive music.

When was the first time you realised that you liked electronic music?

The moment I truly connected with electronic music was when I discovered DJ set mixes by Hernán Cattáneo, John Digweed, and Nick Warren.

Their long, storytelling-style sets really opened my ears to the depth and journey that electronic music can offer.

When was the first time you saw a DJ in a club?

The first time I was genuinely blown away by a DJ performance was Solomun at Isolate in Istanbul.

It was an incredible experience with around 11,000 people in the crowd. The atmosphere, energy, and scale of the event left a strong impression on me.

Which producers/artists/acts inspire you?

There are many artists I admire, but Guy J, Hernán Cattáneo, Ewan Rill, and Jamie Stevens, Dmitry Molosh stand out the most.

Their approach to groove, emotion, and long-form journeys has been a major source of inspiration for me.

What was the last album that you downloaded/purchased?

The last album I downloaded was Guy J Global Underground, and it was absolutely outstanding.

It felt like a complete musical journey from start to finish.

What is your current production and DJ setup like?

I produce music using Ableton Live and work with a Universal Audio VOLT audio interface, which I absolutely love for its sound quality.

My studio setup includes a Novation Launch Key 49 MIDI controller, Ableton Push 1, KRK monitors, and Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro headphones, which I mainly use for mixing.

For DJing, I use a Pioneer DJM-800 mixer with an Audio 6 sound card, alongside a Native Instruments X1, which also forms part of my DJ setup, However I prefer CDJ / Mixer over anything else.

It’s simply faster and more convenient. We use the same software as many producers – our favorites: Diva, Serum, Spire, Soundtoys, UAD, and Valhalla.

What releases do you have on the horizon?

My upcoming releases will be coming out on labels such as Renaissance Music, Mango Alley, Univack, Plattenbank, Timeless Moment, Forensic Records and more.

Some of these releases include collaborations with well-known artists like Ewan Rill and Rauschhaus.

Where can we hear you perform?

This year I will be performing in Sri Lanka, with several gigs currently to be announced (TBA).

Tell us more about the podcast you made for Balance?

The Balance mix is a 2-hour journey built entirely around cohesive and carefully selected tracks.

It features many unreleased tracks from top labels, with a sound that is groovy, warm, and very dancefloor-oriented.

The mix was created using Ableton Live, with a strong focus on flow and energy throughout including many unreleased tracks .
