Brazil’s D-Nox is no stranger to the Balance community. His latest remix alongside Andre Moret for Christian Smith’s Follow Me is another strong outing from an artist who has become synonymous with progressive music.
That reputation is no accident. His relationship with the craft runs deep, shaped in the earliest days of club culture. He understands the dance floor because he comes from it. Emerging during vinyl’s formative era, he fell in love with the scene not as a career option, but as a calling to pursue.
Across more than three decades, he has remained one of the underground’s most enduring figures. The reason is elegant in its simplicity: a passion that still burns bright and a level of instinct that only comes from years of immersion.

Last year at Balance Croatia, that passion was on full display. He arrived a full day before his set, simply to enjoy the festival. Throughout the weekend, you could spot him not backstage, but in the crowd: a punter on the dance floor, reconnecting with the very moments that first made him fall in love with this culture.
Inviting him back for Balance Croatia 2026 felt inevitable. Ahead of his return, we asked the Brazilian-based artist what about last year resonated so deeply for him:
Last year’s Balance Croatia was packed with unforgettable moments, but what really stands out is the sheer quality of the music across every stage and from every DJ I caught. It was on another level—something I hadn’t experienced in years, and honestly, no other festival comes close.
The sets were deep, emotional, and perfectly curated, without any need for flashy lights, laser shows, or CO2 cannons to make it special.

The stripped-down setup let the music take center stage, and combined with the stunning locations in Tisno and this incredible international crowd gathering from everywhere, It felt like a true celebration of progressive house where everything aligned: the sound, the people, and the vibe.
This time, I’m bringing some close friends along who missed out last year, so I can share that same euphoric experience with them: dancing together on the beach, catching sunrises in the olive grove, and just soaking it all in.
Of course, I’m also really looking forward to playing again for that crowd—the energy last year was electric, and connecting with them through my set was one of the highlights.

What truly sets Balance apart is the freedom it gives you to just lose yourself in the music. Last year, I could dance right in the middle of the crowd, become one with thousands of people from all over the world, and feel completely immersed—no distractions, just pure connection to the sound.
I came away with fresh ideas for my own productions and a whole new way of thinking about DJing.
Plus, it was an amazing chance to reunite with so many DJ friends, dance side by side, and party together like family. Unlike bigger festivals with all the spectacle, Balance keeps it real: the music matters most, the community is welcoming and respectful, and the intimate scale makes every moment feel personal and profound.
