Diego Moreira lays down two hours of dark progressive…
Diego Moreira has spent more than a decade refining a strain of progressive house built on dark protocols. Since 2018, his releases have carried that approach well beyond his native Argentina, earning regular support across specialist radio, clubs and the wider progressive circuit.
Moreira’s music is defined less by obvious peaks than by the way it gets there: fluid, measured and always conscious of the journey.
On this Balance Selections, the Argentine delivers a set steeped in those same principles. Featuring music from Claudio Cornejo, Kyotto and Stas Drive, alongside a stack of unreleased material from Moreira himself, this is a proper journey into the more cerebral corners of progressive.

As a child, I listened to a wide variety of music, though my inclination was always towards melodic, deep, and highly soulful sounds.
Those acoustic and synthesized textures sparked my fascination with rhythm, harmony, and atmospheric soundscapes from a very early age through electronic music.
Around 2009, during my teenage years, I stumbled upon extended EDM and Trance sets.
Hearing how harmonic progressions and deep, hypnotic grooves could create a continuous, immersive journey made me realize that electronic music was much more than just dance music—it was a powerful form of storytelling.
My first club experience was back in 2011/2012 in Córdoba when I went to see Pan-Pot. It was a truly transformative moment; watching how the DJ controlled the room’s energy through long, seamless transitions and frequency adjustments was captivating.
Witnessing that live connection was the trigger that led me to pursue my path as a DJ and producer.
John Digweed, Hernán Cattáneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Jamie Stevens among others. I am constantly inspired by their artistic consistency, sonic elegance, and unique ability to craft deep narrative arcs in both their productions and DJ sets.
I’d be lying if I named a specific album, as I refresh my music library every single week and have a hard time remembering names! But something that really caught my attention recently was the latest output from Mike Rish‘s label, Tornn. Incredible music!
For fun and playing at home, my DJ setup consists of a MacBook Pro, Allen & Heath Xone:K2 controller, and Sennheiser HD 25 headphones.
Production Setup: Desktop computer, Yamaha subwoofers, mid/high monitors, stereo power amp, equalizer, analog console, microphone system, MIDI keyboards, Sennheiser HD 25 headphones, and AIAIAI TMA-2 headphones.
There are a lot of releases scheduled for the coming months. 2025 was a fantastic year, and 2026 has kept that exact same momentum, so I’ve been producing a massive amount of music. For now, I’m keeping the labels and track titles under wraps, but there is plenty of new material on the way!
At various club nights and events across Argentina, as well as through my social media channels, my monthly shows, and guest mixes on global podcasts.
I recorded this mix in my studio, pre-selecting about 50 tracks and simply letting intuition and heart guide the process.
The set flows from deep, hypnotic grooves into lush, melodic Progressive House, featuring music from artists I deeply admire, several unreleased IDs, and personal edits crafted specifically for Balance Selections.
