What music did you listen to as a child?
I loved Punk music, like Pennywise, Blink 182 early stuff, Millencolin and MXPX.
When was the first time you realised you liked electronic music?
When I was 16 I fell in love with Hard house, we used to go to these sick under 18 parties, there were always two rooms, an R’n’B room, where you go to hook-up, then there was a Hard Dance room that would always be going off full of junior ravers… Haha!
When was the first time you saw a DJ in the club?
Those under 18 parties that were in Nightclubs, you just couldn’t buy booze, so yeah that would have been there for sure.
Which producers/artists/acts inspire you?
The old dogs always got me the most hyped… Guys like Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Luciano, DJ Harvey, Carl Cox, Prosumer.
What was the last album you downloaded / brought?
Special Request – Offworld
What is your current production and DJ set up like?
I keep it pretty simple, and stick to what I’ve always used, Logic Pro X with my Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol keyboard, and a bunch of nice plug-ins.
My most preferred DJ set up is one Technics turntable, and 3 Pioneer CDJ’s and mixer.
What releases do you have on the horizon?
I have a bunch actually… My Hot Creations EP comes out on 28th of August 2020, which I’m super buzzed about, featuring three tracks that are all different. Also, I have a two track EP in Spring coming out on Solotoko, then I’ll finish the year off with a juicy two track EP on Catch and Release.
Tell us more about the podcast you made for Balance?
I’ve been recording a lot of mixes lately and I always try to give them a different kind of feel, I love playing so many different styles and tempos, and I always put a bunch of my unreleased bits in there, so that’s what you should expect with this mix..
The top track in my DJ wallet is?
Gee that’s a hard one, but, I have been hammering an old classic for about a year now, and it always goes down a treat.
Camisra – Let me Show You
If I could recommend one of my tracks for you to listen to it would be:
Probably my last single ‘CHA CHA’. It’s such a fun tune, my family were involved heavily with this one, so I guess its a real sentimental favourite.
If I could recommend only one track for you to listen to it would be:
Burial – Archangel
