Greg Naïro is a Belgian producer, born and raised in Liège.
He considers music as the mirror of his soul, and whilst being versatile and elusive, he doesn’t restrict himself to a unique musical universe.
Since his childhood, he has been exploring various musical feelings according to his mood, leading him to start music production in 2009 as a beatmaker, and evolving into creating deeper house sounds by 2015. His influences are varied and surprising, and you can easily find references throughout his productions, which has led to labels such as Oleeva Records and Everything Will be OK having released his music.
Gaining more and more attention over the recent years with his studio output, Greg Naïro has also showcased his talent during live performances, and you can discover his love for deep and organic sounds on his new EP for Dawn till Dusk…

What music did you listen to as a child?
I’ve always been interested in music in all genres. My parents are not music lovers nor musicians but I’ve felt connected to music since my early age. The funny thing is I had a hip-hop group when I was a teenager and I started music production with the beatmaking 🙂
When was the first time that you realised that you liked electronic music?
I really fell in love with the label All Day Dream in late 2014 when a close friend of mine introduced me to this music genre. I had a sort of revelation and I instantly had this proper style of Deep House music as a reference! Even in 2021 I’m still thinking ADID 2015 is something very emotional and unique. I’m very grateful to be part of the ADID team in 2022. Hard work, patience and dreams always pay off 🙂
When was the first time you saw a DJ in a club?
With my friends we used to party a lot in a small club called “Acte 6” when we were young. Everyone in the hood went there because it was the only club in the area. Later in Liège we had the chance to have a great club called “Le Cadran”. During many years we had the chance to see a lot of big artists there. I can’t remember the one who impressed me the most but I remember David August performing a live set and that was something really special and I liked it!
Which producers/artists/acts inspire you?
I’m a true fan of guys like YokoO or Powel for example. I love artists who have a sound signature and a proper universe. I’m obsessed with tracks which have a very nice background and lots of textures 🙂
What was the last album that you downloaded/bought?
Just about last week, Powel’s ‘Rad’ EP, no surprises (laugh). A very special EP which mixes oldschool disco vibes, beautiful vocals and deep vibes.
What is your current production and DJ set up like?
In my production setup I’m using Propellerhead Reason combinated with a microphone and some analog gear like a Clavia Nordlead 4 or a Moog Subsequent 37. My setup is quite basic to let my creativity express itself to the maximum 🙂
In my DJ setup I’m using a Xone 92 and 2 CDJ2000NXS1.
What releases do you have on the horizon?
At this point I have 2 Dawn till Dusk releases (two EP’s) and two on ADID (In Waves) releases (1 EP and 1 VA) on the horizon. I’m very happy because at least two of those four releases will also be on wax 🙂
Where can we hear you perform?
This year the situation is still a bit complicated due to the covid but I had the chance to get invited to Ibiza Sonica Radio last month. I don’t have many gigs this year but I hope more dates will come next year 🙂
Tell us more about the podcast you made for Balance?
I recorded the set in my studio using my own setup and a Zoom H4n recorder. I always take time to prep a decent tracklist because I love building stories through a set. The goal in this podcast is to introduce my new unreleased music and some tracks I really like 🙂
My Recommendations
The top track in my DJ wallet currently is:
Reysis – Tasi
If I could recommend only one of my tracks for you to listen to it would be:
It’s difficult to choose only one track but i will definitely send you to my first album called ‘Alma‘
For the little story, Alma is the name of my daughter. She’s about 11 months old now and I made this album while my girlfriend was pregnant. It was a bit of a challenge for me to do a 10 tracker album during the covid lockdown but I made it and I’m very proud of the result. It’s also a very special and cool souvenir for my daughter to have an album with her name on it. She can keep this for life 🙂
If I could recommend only one track for you to listen to it would be:
It’s a totally underrated track but a beautiful tune to my eyes
Drum Tales – Girl
