Amháin delivers a deep and melodic outing filled with class…
Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, Rainbow Serpent, Berlin’s Sisyphos, and LA’s Pattern Bar—these are all global festivals and clubs that have hosted Amháin in their DJ booths at some stage. And for good reason: the high-flying Irishman delivers a sound that’s sleek and classy without ever being too esoteric.

I was about 7 years old when I first got Thriller by Michael Jackson on 12 inch so I listened to him a lot.
Leading into the early 90s, the first rave generation was brewing in Dublin. I was still quite young, but hearing local pirate radio stations play tracks like Underworld “Rez” and The Mix Factory “Take Me Away” hooked me.
I would record all the DJ shows on tape cassettes, which naturally led to collecting 90s rave tunes on records and creating our own parties and not-so-legal raves.
Homelands Festival in Ireland in 1999 was my first experience. All the big names at the time were there, like Orbital, Underworld, Paul Oakenfold, and John Digweed, to name but a few.
It was a mind-blowing tour de force of music and DJing for a 16-year-old. Unreal. Still my favorite festival to date.

I keep it minimal at the moment because we have a 2-year-old son in the house, haha. I mainly use software for production and some hardware synths, including my Dave Smith Prophet 12 and Moog Minitaur.
For DJing, I use CDJ 2000s and an Allen & Heath PX5.
New solo EP coming soon on Proton Music, along with lots of remixes and collaborations with friends.
Notably, I have two EPs coming out with the talented Covsky from Sydney: one on Hoj & Burridge’s label Tale + Tone, and the other on Musique De Lune.
A few Matter ID’s in the podcast are my favorites and also the new Fabreeka remix of Foggy Days out on Deep Down Down music.
