Ignacio Torne delivers a set worthy of his lauded credentials…
Ignacio Torne is a DJ and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with over a decade in electronic music. His passion began early, waking up to bolero records and later playing bass in a teenage garage band. A friend’s trance-heavy DJ sets introduced him to electronic music, eventually leading him to Progressive House.
Influenced by Cattaneo, Digweed, Warren, and Sasha, he’s developed a signature sound that continues to evolve. In that time he has played in top Buenos Aires venues like Crobar, Jet, Niceto, and The Bow, and his releases on labels like Motion Recordings, AH Digital, and Massive Harmony reflect his steady rise in the progressive scene.
On this Balance Selections mix, the Argentinean artist delivers a smooth, warm set rich with melodic flourishes. Featuring tracks by Kamilo Sanclemente, Mike Isai, Dmitry Molosh, and more, it is a deep progressive set that keeps on delivering.

As a child, my musical memories are of waking up on Sunday mornings to the sound of my parents playing bolero records from early in the day. By the time I was 15, I had picked up the bass and started playing in a garage band at home. We mostly played covers of national rock songs.
My first exposure to electronic music was through the trance genre. It happened when I visited a friend’s house—he used to play DJ sets featuring Armin van Buuren and Tiësto. That’s when my curiosity for electronic music really began.
The first DJ I ever saw was Sven Väth at Crobar in 2010. That’s when it clicked in my head. Since then, I started going to more parties.
I could name countless producers—the list is endless. But my favorite artists are the four who’ve been with me since the beginning and who I still make a point to see live: Hernán Cattaneo, John Digweed, Nick Warren, and Sasha.
If I had to pick one album, I’d say all of Sasha’s work.
The last album I downloaded was from the Univack label called Kaelid Advice Hawkings by Tiefstone. I listened to it and really liked it.
My studio setup includes an i5 PC, an audio interface, 8-inch ADAM monitors, and a MIDI keyboard. My go-to synths are Diva, ANA 2, and DUNE—they’re definitely my favorites.
For live shows, my preferred setup is three Nexus 2s—they give me the flexibility and convenience I need for mixing.
My next releases are a collaboration with Julian Rodriguez for the Future Avenida label and a remix for Purrfection.
My next performance is at one of the most important clubs in Buenos Aires—The Bow—where I’ll be playing alongside Emi Galvan.
I don’t watch movies, but I can recommend the last series I watched, called The Black Mirror.
I don’t watch TV shows, but I could recommend several travel YouTubers. Some of my favorites include Tyler Oliveira, Un Topo por el Mundo, and Joaco Santos.
