Dive into an eclectic selection with Eric Lune…
Eric Lune’s recent Balance release, the three-track Yonder EP, showcased the Australian’s penchant for deep yet soulful progressive electronic music. It’s a real treat. Check the bubbling melody on title track ‘Yonder’, a riff so delightful it threatens to bounce straight out of your speakers and into your pleasure centres. On the other hand, ‘Rumi’ exhibits a more lamenting side, through wistful vocals swirling around a sea of melodies. And if you’re partial to a brisk morning run, ‘Body Language’ would soundtrack that pursuit perfectly. Indeed, Eric Lune is clearly on a steady trajectory poised to puncture the stratosphere.
Balance Extra Playlist
If you’re curious about what he listened to during the creation of the Yonder EP, fret no further. We posed the same question, and he graciously provided a ten track selection as diverse as it is intriguing. It might surprise you that his personal playlist spans from iconoclast Travis Scott to ambient pioneer Brian Eno and even the Purple One, Prince. And as Eric alludes to, the list only scratches the surface: ‘It’s a small snapshot of tunes I had on heavy rotation around the time I made the Yonder EP‘. We can only speculate what the wider view of this small snapshot looks like.
All in all, something for everyone.
