Born, raised and based in the city of Bern in Switzerland, the Swiss’ musical upbringing is clear through this eclectic mix. With a classical musician father and piano teaching mother, Deetron hones his innate prowess, resulting in productions that have a certain artistry and musicality that evades most others.
His releases on Music Man, Phont, Intec, Circus Company, and Aus have provided Deetron with the means to become one of the most heralded producers to date. With a XLR8R mix and BBC 1 Radio Essential Mix under his belt, Deetron also regularly finds himself in the top half of Beatport’s Top 100 with his releases.
Known for his Detroit-inspired rhythms, Deetron swerves in and out of the old and new with Carl Craig’s version of Picadillo, and Seven Davis Jr’s One. The complication also includes Marcel Dettmann’s remix of Bad Kingdom by Moderat and other old gems from Gemini and DJ Sneak.
