Jaki Liebezeit and Burnt Friedman have finally completed Secret Rhythms 5 for the ongoing series on Nonplace Recordings.
Jaki Liebezeit is a drummer who is probably best known as a founding member of German experimental Rock band Can, and his exceptional “metronome” style of playing. Burnt Friedman is a German musician and producer who works under a variety of project names in the fields of Electronica, Dub and Jazz, and he is also the owner of Nonplace Recordings. The two musicians’ live and studio collaboration has led to eight striking new tracks, which, at duration’s between 3 and 5 minutes, conform to standard expectations in length at least. This 5th edition will also include three 12” singles and one remix single.
