There are so many artists who inspire me, and each one has had a unique impact on my journey. As I mentioned earlier, Guy J was crucial in shaping my sound. His ability to create deep, atmospheric music with such intricate detail is something I admire greatly.
Other artists like John Digweed, Sven Väth, Solomun, Hernán Cattáneo, and Dixon have also been huge influences, especially when it comes to their way of building a journey in their sets and the kind of tracks they play.
Apart from electronic music, I find inspiration in a wide variety of things—life experiences, nature, and even other art forms like film and visual art. Inspiration comes from all around, and I try to channel it into my own music to make something that resonates with others in a similar way 🙂
I’m also deeply influenced by artists outside the electronic scene like Radiohead, Massive Attack, Portishead, Catriel, Kendrick Lamar and much more. Their ability to blend genres and create powerful emotional experiences has a big impact on me.
I listen to music via Spotify, so I don’t have to buy CDs anymore, hahaha. I like to switch up the music I listen to, but I often go back to In Rainbows by Radiohead, good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar, and Blue Lines by Massive Attack.
In Rainbows was a gift from my cousin, and the others I discovered on my own. I often find myself digging for new music—that’s how I discovered electronic music and many other music that I might not have come across otherwise.
This year, I have some exciting releases coming up, both on my own label and with other labels. Some of my tracks that I’ve been playing in my sets over the last two years will finally see the light of day.
Additionally, I have some collaborations with amazing producer friends that are absolute bombs, so stay tuned!
Since I’ve moved back to Buenos Aires after four years living in Barcelona, I’m currently touring across Argentina. I recently played for the first time in Jujuy (in the north of Argentina), and in the next few months, I’ll be playing in the central and southern parts of the country.
I’m always looking for new shows and tours—I’m actually planning my next tour in Mexico for later this year. I don’t have a residency at any club right now, but in the meantime, you can listen to my radio show Unreverse, which is available (almost monthly) on my SoundCloud channel.
This studio set is very special to me because I’ve been listening to Balance Series mixes since I first got into electronic music, and I’ve always wanted to be part of the label. Ever since my first appearance in 2019 on Nick Warren’s Balance presents The Soundgarden, I’ve had the feeling that one day it could happen—and now that moment has arrived.
So when Balance invited me to do a guest mix for Balance, I didn’t even think twice and immediately started working on it.
For this mix, I created 2 ambient tracks as an intro to set the mood, and throughout the set, there’s a lot of unreleased music from friends and myself, as well as some upcoming releases on Flown Records. The mix takes an experimental turn towards the end, closing with breakbeat and downtempo vibes at 109 BPM.
La Mesita de la Cocina, a strange movie that causes strange feelings.
