One of the most respected clubs in the world, Space Ibiza, celebrates 25 years with a 3 disc compilation featuring a few of the clubs famed residents in the mix.
The massive mixed compilation is the product of a fruitful collaboration between the club, who has consistently hosted one of the most popular parties on the white isle, and legendary record label Cr2 who may be best known for discovering dance music heavyweights Eric Prydz and Fedde Le Grand.
Disc one of the compilation sees Carl Cox, whose name is synonymous with Space Ibiza, in the mix showcasing the sound that he has represented at his famous nights at the club as well as highlight artists from his own label, Intec. Disc two features another legend, Kevin Saunderson, at the helm. Saunderson hardly needs an introduction with his name popping up alongside Derrick May and Juan Atkins whenever mentioning the originators of the techno sound. His ‘Space Ibiza 2014’ mix features classics tracks from the likes of Paperclip People and X-Press 2 as well as unreleased gems from Saunderson’s own imprint, KMS. Last, but certainly not least, Cr2 head honcho MYNC delivers disc three featuring some of the most popular tracks in Ibiza this season as well as a few less conventional cuts.
‘Space Ibiza 2014: 25th Anniversary’ is out on the 12th of September on Cr2 Records.
