Between Sea and Shore: Tara Brooks at Balance Croatia 2025…
Tara Brooks was one of a small group of artists to play twice at Balance Croatia 2025, appearing first on the Skyline Boat Party before returning later for a set on the Olive Grove stage.
While both performances formed part of the same festival arc, each unfolded under very different conditions, offering contrasting perspectives on audience connection.
The Olive Grove set leaned into the open dusty energy the stage is becoming known for, framed by the surrounding landscape and the steady pull of the weekend that laid ahead.
The Skyline Boat Party, by contrast, existed as a temporary, self-contained environment. With no fixed reference points beyond sea and horizon, the music reflected the fun, adventurous nature the moment demanded.

For Tara, the difference between the two was stark but complementary:
“Both were incredible in very different ways. The Skyline boat was pure magic, an amazing crowd full of love and life, proper sound, and the most perfect conditions you could ask for. Fresh air, sunshine, and the crystal-blue Croatian sea created this beautiful, freeing energy.”
The setting plays an active role, with the environment influencing pacing as much as the crowd onboard. Nowhere was this more evident than across the full four days at Balance Croatia, where the distinct spaces all provided different shades of energies.
That sense of adventure carried through the boat set. Rather than chasing peaks, the two-hour recording is a consistent two hours of dance floor fun.
We’re pleased to release Tara Brooks’ Skyline Boat Party recording from Balance Croatia 2025, captured live as it happened.
Below, a short Q+A offers further insight into the experience, while the full set is now available on SoundCloud.
Both were incredible in very different ways. The Skyline boat was pure magic, an amazing crowd full of love and life, proper sound, and the most perfect conditions you could ask for. Fresh air, sunshine, and the crystal-blue Croatian sea created this beautiful & freeing energy.
The Olive Grove, felt like a wonderful reunion- friends, family, and high-energy dancers, all ready to move together as the sun set and the night took over. Was an eclectic set of fun energetic grooves.

It was a completely organic flow, guided by the crowd’s energy. The music naturally moved through soulful, uplifting, tribal, electronica, and old-school progressive rave textures, blended with a futuristic sweetness.
There wasn’t one single moment; it was more those rare, perfect situations where everything aligns. We created the journey and the flow together, and the set mirrored the beauty of the atmosphere around us.
My single ‘Coco Sky‘ which was released on the Balance Croatia album, was especially meaningful to play on the boat. Dropping that track out on the water, surrounded by so much love and energy, made it a really special moment for me.
Yes absolutely! The location is stunning, and I loved how intimate everything felt. The Balance community is so down-to-earth, filled with true music lovers.
One standout moment was being at John & Sasha’s set: it felt like the reunion point of the weekend, where you were guaranteed to reconnect with all friends colleague you hadn’t crossed paths with yet.

Pace yourself. There’s so much incredible music, and Tisno itself is incredibly special. Make sure to balance the dancing with rest, exploration, and soaking it all in: the food, the town, the people, and the overall Balance vibe are truly something special.
