Teaming up with regular studio partner Out of Sorts, the pair reworked the Yoshitoshi classic from 2002, presenting their own deep, tribal and ultimately respectful take on the original. The newly titled ‘You Are Not Sleeping’ features on Mix One from the album Balance presents Uone.
For his superb debut for Balance, he’s distilled these globe-trotting experiences into a two-part mix, that bears his distinctive sonic fingerprint throughout the 21-track work. Indeed, every track comes from Uone’s production studio, whether it be an original, remix, or collaboration, this sees him going above and beyond the usual mix CD remit to create something truly special.
Today we present two new reworks for Uone & Out of Sorts ‘You Are Not Sleeping’. Steve Bug comes with simple swinging bassline which together with the originals classic vocal, works to create stripped and groovy outing. Niko Schwind delivers an equally groove-laden remix, with a bulbous bottom end and traces of the original’s melody. A superb brace of reworks which will definitely see to the fact that you are not sleeping.
