Canadian techno minimalist Marc Houle returns with his latest full length album, ‘Cola Party’ on his own imprint Items & Things.
Growing up in Windsor, Ontario, right next door to Detroit and the same place as mentor and former Minus colleague Richie Hawtin, Houle’s talent and general obsession with techno over the last decade comes as no surprise. Through releases on both Minus and Items & Things, Houle has gone on to become a notable figure in the techno scene and is also classed as one of the pioneers of the minimal sound.
As the highly anticipated follow up to 2012’s ‘Undercover’ LP, ‘Cola Party’ comes in the form of 9 fresh tracks stamped with Houle’s trademark techno stylings, with the two main singles of the album being the title track and ‘I Don’t Wanna Know About You’ which you can preview below.
‘Cola Party’ is out on the 15th August through Items & Things.
