What music did you listen too as a child?
My father is a huge Jazz fan, and has a big collection of vinyl records. He has around 5000 records, and we would also go to Jazz brunch every Sunday, so I guess that was my first kind of festival experience and probably is where I got hooked to music in general.
When was the first time you saw a DJ in a club?
A friend of mine was working in a record store, and he introduced me to house and techno! We also went out together when I was like 15 or 16, and he was 17 or 18, and was a resident DJ in a club in my hometown. I got to see lots of famous house DJs play there, like Tiefschwarz, Milk and Sugar, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Masters At Work, and many many more.
Which producers/artists/acts inspire you?
Definitely one of my favorite producers out there are Daft Punk! When I heard their first album, I totally fell in love with house music. They used the perfect combination of samples and synthesizer music in their productions.
What was the last album that you downloaded/bought?
James Blake – Assume From
What releases do you have on the horizon?
In this COVID-19 breakdown I’ve been making a lot of music, so I’m not sure exactly of what I will be releasing, but I will definitely release a few tracks of them on my own label. Can’t say exactly what will be coming out, but expect lots of new music.
Where can we hear you perform?
Due to this COVID-19 situation there won’t be any club shows or tours for a while, but you can always hit me every month on our radio show on Soundcloud.
Tell us more about the podcast you made for Balance?
This mix contains a lot of fresh house tunes, minimal and a little bit of tech house. There are also some exclusive tracks from myself, which are not released yet. I want to showcase the wide diversity from house to techno and it contains stuff I really like to play. I recorded live on two CDJ, and one Allen & Heath mixer.
