Sistersweet combines a selection of unofficial remixes of stone-cold classics into a 60-minute progressive and organic house journey…
Sistersweet is a DJ/producer from Moscow, Russia, and a resident of the local Digital Emotions crew. She is an active member of her community, spreading the progressive sound through her LUCHiSVETA radio show on www.megapolisnight.ru and support slots for DJs such as Kasper Koman and DJ Ruby.
Production-wise, she is slowly building a portfolio with releases on labels like Balkan Connection, SkyTop, and AH-Digital, and upcoming signings for The Soundgarden and Higher States.
A Sistersweet mix skillfully blends progressive with the more organic strain of house, a fusion which is finding favor globally. That sound is on full display in this special conceptual mix, all with the intention of evoking ‘pleasant nostalgic emotions.’
Consisting of unofficial remixes of stone-cold classics, she runs through contemporary takes from producers like Emi Galvan and Eichenbaum of well-known artists including Tycho, Moby, and Everything but The Girl. Watch out for the excellent Mike Griego remix of the Evolution classic ‘Walking in Fire’ and Sistersweet’s own special take on Satoshi Tomiie ‘Love in Traffic’.

I listened to what my parents liked, such as ABBA, Arabesque, Boney M, and Baccara. During my school years, my taste shifted towards rock with bands like Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Pantera. In the late ’90s, I developed a love for electronic music. You could say I’m a music lover.
My love for electronic music began in October 1995, when the first FM radio station with underground music, Station 106.8 FM, opened in Moscow.
I must say, the first time I saw a DJ wasn’t in a club but at a school desk. My schoolmate was a DJ. It was very funny—I gave him lessons to copy, and he thanked me with free entry to the club. This is similar to what Laurent Garnier describes in his book “Electroshock.”
I was most impressed by the compilations Deep Dish in Moscow from Global Underground and Renaissance Master Series with Hernan Cattaneo alongside James Holden on Balance. Even now, listening to these collections inspires me to create new productions.
My friends, Anton Borin & Montw, Kostya Outta, Yonsh, Redspace, and Meeting Molly, also inspire me. I watch their success and strive to do the same.
I like the latest release by Kostya Outta & Kamilo Sanclemente, “Starlight,” on Mango Alley. All tracks on this EP are great, but the Original Mix is a dancefloor bomb!
I prefer an ascetic home studio over fully equipped studios with tons of excessive stuff. My home studio consists of a MacBook with Ableton Live, including standard plugins (DIVA and HIVE are my favorites), various sample packs (some exclusively from my friends), a MIDI keyboard (M-Audio Oxygen 49), two KRK Rokit 5 monitors, Beyerdynamic DT 990 and Sennheiser HD 25 headphones, a Scarlett Focusrite audio interface, and my beloved Pioneer XDJ-RX console.
At the final step of production, I check the sound at my friend’s professional studio, which features crystal-clear sound and many interesting analog synths. (By the way, the owner of this studio is my schoolmate I mentioned earlier.)
At the end of July, I expect the long-awaited release on The Soundgarden label. I am very pleased and grateful to Nick Warren for including my track The Sound of Marimba in the compilation The Summer Collection 2024.
Additionally, my EP on Roger Martinez‘s Higher States is scheduled for release in August.
I’m a resident of the Digital Emotions label by Vladimir Fonarev. Every month, the label arranges resident nights at one of the clubs in Moscow. Additionally, I’m going to participate in the IKRA Festival in July, with Hobin Rude, Roger Martinez, and DJ Ruby in the lineup.
I wanted to do something conceptual for this mix. As I mentioned earlier, my passion for electronic music began in the late ’90s, and sometimes I find myself nostalgic for those wonderful times. So, I had the idea to create a mix of unofficial remixes of old-school tracks to evoke pleasant nostalgic emotions in the audience.
One of my favorite tracks from that era was “Love in Traffic” by Satoshi Tomiie. I always dreamed of remixing that legendary track someday, and recently, I finally did it! This remix is included in the mix. I’m very interested in hearing feedback on this work and the entire mix from the listeners.
