Rigooni lays down a infectious hour of Organic House…
Producer and DJ RIGOONI has emerged as one of the standout names in Brazilian electronic music. A self-taught artist, he blends Progressive and Organic House into a distinctive sound that led to his track “Dreamed Numbers” being featured on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden compilation for Balance.
In this Balance Selections mix, the Brazilian artist delivers an energetic hour of organic house that is very infectious. Featuring tracks from Anonimat, St. Ego, Mauro Masi and more, this is a high-energy set that’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend.

When I was little, I used to listen to the music my parents liked. They always played “flashback” songs, like Jimmy Bo Horne and The Sugarhill Gang.
My first loops were attempts to reproduce tracks by Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force and Kraftwerk, and even to make a few edits of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence.”
One of my first encounters with electronic music was during my school years. We used to get together during recess to listen to it, and we even ended up forming an electronic music dance group.
From then on, I started researching more about the genre. At the time, the dance style was called “Free Step.” That’s when I began discovering artists like Avicii and David Guetta.
The first electronic music party I went to was David Guetta’s show when he came to Brazil with Robin Schulz in 2016, at the Anhembi Sambadrome.
At the time, I really enjoyed Robin Schulz’s vibe—his music had a beachy, tranquil feel. After that, the first nightclub I started going to was Club 33 in São Paulo (near the renowned D-Edge, which I later got to know).
They played a style that was popularly called “Deep” back then. It was there that I first connected with national artists whose sound I admired, such as Vintage Culture in 2016.
I admire many producers, but one of the artists who truly changed my path was Guy J. The first time I saw him play was in 2017, at the Air Rooftop in São Paulo, before Victor Ruiz.
The following year, Guy J performed an eight-hour set at D-Edge, and that experience gave me a deep immersion into new sounds, awakening in me an even stronger desire to find ways to express myself in the world.
For me, however, the greatest source of inspiration is nature—whether hiking, going to the beach, climbing a mountain, or simply standing in an open field in silence.
One of the last tracks I bought was a remix Volen Sentir did for Lost Desert. I saw Lost Desert play live in Ibiza during my Eurotour, and it was incredible to witness the crowd’s reaction!
As soon as I got home, the first thing I did was buy that track. It’s amazing: Lost Desert – When Sun Rises (Volen Sentir Extended Remix).
For a long time, my studio was nothing more than a simple pair of headphones, a laptop, and a fan to keep things cool whenever I opened too many plugins at once.
Today, I have a Presonus audio interface, HS6 reference monitors, and AKG-240 headphones. I’ve always used FL Studio—since I was 11 years old—and I still use it for everything from the creative process to mixing and mastering.
I’m currently working on a major release for The Soundgarden, featuring several unreleased tracks, some of which are already included in this mix.
I’m also preparing an important release on my label, Amesch: a V.A. compilation featuring prominent artists from the organic house and progressive house scene, including some I’ve mentored in my private lessons.
Next month, the new episode of my podcast will be a recording from my debut performance in Argentina, available in both audio and video formats.
Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of downtempo music, and I see it as a way to explore calmer, more introspective sounds.
Because of that, I created a side project called Aguadeiro, where I release tracks with more vocals and a more spiritual, contemplative feel—while still maintaining my essence.
Meanwhile, as RIGOONI, I continue producing within the progressive and organic house spectrum.
I’ve just returned from a tour in Argentina, and I’m already preparing for the next one. I always update my social media with information about upcoming shows.
In addition, I have a regular podcast called Kiss Of The Muse, which I release every 45 days on my SoundCloud and also on YouTube, featuring my own music and music by artists I admire.
Balance has always held a special place in my career. This podcast is also very meaningful to me because it opens with my track “Tzaddi,” which Hernan recently played at SunsetStrip here in Brazil.
I’d also like to give a special mention to tracks 6 and 7, which will be released by The Soundgarden next year, as well as to the songs by artists I deeply admire and who have recently shared their music with me.
Certainly the most explosive track I’ve been playing lately is the remix I did for Beije, which doesn’t have a release date yet, but you can listen to it here in this podcast (track 3). The track will be released by Proton.
Beije – Lumina (RIGOONI Rmx)
On a Vintage Culture radio show in 2016, he played a track that, when I heard it, I felt it was exactly what I liked and the way I wanted to express myself musically. The song was Echomen – Perpetual (Guy J Remix). Since then, everything has changed.
I recently watched Into the Wild again and was reminded of how much I love that film; it’s still one of my favorites.
It’s been many years since I last watched TV series, but I’ve always really liked Friends
I really enjoy being at the beach and in direct contact with nature. I love outdoor environments, exploring trails, and connecting with the energy of waterfalls while reading a good book alongside my girlfriend.
