What music did you listen to as a child?

Back in the days my mom used to listen to loads of music, Led Zepplin, Pearl Jam, Peter Gabriel, the list is endless. I used to like it all, and when I was around 8 years old I picked up my first instrument the guitar.

When was the first time that you realised that you liked electronic music?

I was a young bartender at the time & my soon to be best buddy was really in to electronic music. We started listening to the music together which was a lot of minimal, dub, and techno.

When was the first time you saw a DJ in a club?

I had seen lots of local DJ’s at the time, but my first real big experience was I think Julian Chaptal at Studio 80 in Amsterdam. I dont really remember much, but I must have been around 18 years old. A better example would be Guy Gerber at Watergate in Berlin, we had a really bad time getting in the venue. Once we entered the weird atmosphere of the club, everything started making sense.

Which producers/artists/acts inspire you?

Radiohead is one of my all time favourite bands and they inspire me a lot but, so does Prince, possibly my two greatest inspirations. I also get a lot inspiration from classical composers, like Rachmaninov, Claude Debussy, Satie to name a few. I also really love Thomas Newman.

What is your current production and DJ set up like?

My to go DAW is Ableton, sometimes I might use hardware like a Korg/808 or Moogs. But, I really like software, for its huge possibilities. I think there one is not beter then the other. I think that what ever an artist desires can be made analog and/or digital.

What releases do you have on the horizon?

My latest EP on Loot recordings will be released soon.

Where can we hear you perform?

At the moment there is not much space to play obviously, but looking forward to the summer and returning to Woodstock 69′ at the beach.
